The studio apartment at Villa Solbakke is a spacious 70 square meters with high ceilings. It is located in the converted barn on the property and features large glass doors and white surfaces that make the space bright and airy. At one end of the apartment is a sleeping loft with space for two guests. There is also direct access to your own private section of Villa Solbakken's large garden, where children can play football or other summer activities. The entire property is fenced in, and horses graze outside the fence on three sides of the property.

Our studio apartment can accommodate four people. It features two double beds: a 180 cm bed on the sleeping loft and a 150 cm four-poster bed in the main room. Bed linen is, of course, included.

The studio apartment is comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, including a refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and two induction hobs. There is also a coffee maker so you can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. The kitchen is stocked with glasses, cups, plates, saucers, and cutlery.

Our family of four, with two children aged 9 and 12, had a wonderful summer week at Villa Solbakke on the island of Asmaløy. The studio apartment was spacious and perfect for our family. We enjoyed spending time both indoors and outdoors. Breakfast in the backyard with a view of the grazing horses was truly idyllic, and a definite highlight of our stay. The national park next door is a fantastic hiking area with opportunities for swimming and water sports. Brattestø harbor is just 10 minutes away, and has a nice sandy beach, ice cream parlor, and restaurant. This quickly became our children's favorite spot. Villa Solbakke has all the amenities you could need, and the hosts were extremely flexible and helpful. They really made our vacation complete. We would definitely recommend Villa Solbakke to others, and hope to return to Asmaløy ourselves someday.

Villa Solbakke is located next door to Ytre Hvaler National Park, Norway's first underwater national park. The park is home to a variety of marine life, including steep cliffs, kelp forests, eelgrass beds, and coral reefs. The coral reef at Tisler is one of the largest in Europe.
In addition to its underwater beauty, Ytre Hvaler National Park also features a variety of land-based attractions. Visitors can explore the park's coastal landscape, which includes smooth bedrock, windswept coastal forest, rare flower species, and butterflies. The popular Coastal Path follows large parts of the Hvaler coast and passes right outside Villa Solbakke.
Whether you're interested in exploring the park's underwater or land-based attractions, Villa Solbakke is the perfect place to stay. The property is located just a short walk from the park's entrance, and it offers a variety of amenities to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Hiking Areas and the Coastal Path
Ytre Hvaler National Park is a true archipelago adventure. The entire west side of Asmaløy is a beautiful hiking area with marked coastal paths that stretch from Åsebu in the north to Vikerhavn in the south. The area is home to a rich variety of birdlife and rare plants, and Asmaløy is even known as the "orchid island" due to the abundance of these beautiful flowers. Visitors can also expect to see a variety of butterflies, with over 100 different species having been observed in the park. The Svarteberg and Pikesten lighthouses offer stunning views of the surrounding area, and are also great places to learn about the history of the Ice Age in Norway.

No matter what your level of experience, kayaking is a great way to see the Hvaler archipelago. You can paddle past beautiful beaches, explore hidden coves, and see a variety of wildlife.
Wind- and kitesurfing
Villa Solbakke is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for a windsurfing vacation. The property is located near Hvaler's best windsurfing spots, Brattestø and Ørekroken. So if you're looking to catch some waves, you can simply grab your board and head out the door.
